Shiitake Mushrooms Topping
Shiitake mushrooms make the most delicious side with your eggs for breakfast or a simple healthy salad for your lunch. They are filled with rich and earthy flavor that will melt in your mouth! Whether you prefer it with your savory breakfast, lunch or dinner it goes well with just about anything. From eggs to mashed potatoes, shiitake mushrooms are the perfect topper. This is a quick and easy recipe to serve as a side dish and is guaranteed to become a favorite.
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons of lower-sodium soy sauce OR coconut aminos
1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon of paprika
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 cups thinly sliced fresh shiitake mushroom caps, stems removed
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375F.
Thinly slice all of the mushrooms. Mix them in a bowl with the rest of the ingredients until well coated.
Place the mushrooms on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake the mushrooms for 20 minutes and then flip around at least once. Let them cool for 10 minutes
