Banana Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

Cookies are one of the easiest and most delicious desserts to make at home. We’ve taken basic homemade baked goods to the next level with ingredients like bananas, oats, and chocolate chips. These are easy to make and full of flavor!

Ingredients:

  • 3 overripe bananas

  • 2 tbsp honey (or maple syrup)

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract

  • 1 1/2 cup quick cooking oats

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 tsp fine sea salt

  • 1/2 cup of chocolate chips (or other add-ins, like shredded coconut, dried cranberries, raisins, chopped nuts, cinnamon chips, etc.)

Instructions:

  1. To begin, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Mash all the bananas together in a large mixing bowl.

  3. Continue adding in the wet ingredients (honey, egg, and vanilla). Stir to combine.

  4. Begin adding the dry ingredients (oats, cinnamon, and sea salt). Stir again to combine.

  5. Once the batter is evenly mixed, lightly stir in the chocolate chips or any other add ins if wanted.

  6. Scoop about 1-1 1/2 tablespoons of the cookie dough onto a lined baking sheet. You can use measuring spoons to make this easier! Make sure to place the cookie dough scoops about 2” apart.

  7. Bake in a preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the bottoms are lightly browned.

  8. Once finished baking, let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes. Then, move them to a wire cooling rack to cool thoroughly.
