Pumpkin Pizza Buns

Ingredients
3/4 cup milk
3/4 cup water
3/4 tbsp instant yeast
1 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp milk powder
1/3 cup vegetable oil
2 tbsp plain yogurt (optional)
2 tsp salt
3 1/2 to 4 cups all purpose flower
pizza sauce
pepperoni slices
mozzarella cheese (shredded or fresh)
pepper stems (optional, for stem)
Butcherβs twine or oiled string
Instructions
Combine milk and water, warming it up in a pan
Add yeast and sugar to the mixture. Cover and let it rise for 10-15 minutes or until the yeast becomes puffy.
Introduce the oil and yogurt into the mix. Then, gradually add in the flour and milk powder. Sprinkle in 2 tsp of salt.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-6 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic
Brush the dough with oil, and then set it aside to let it rise until it doubles in size (30-60 minutes).
Divide the dough in 16 pieces. Roll each into a small circle.
Add a spoon of pizza sauce, some pepperoni slices, and mozzarella cheese. Seal into stuffed balls.
Take oiled string and wrap it around the ball, forming a pumpkin shape with 8 sections. Tie a knot at the bottom.
Put the pumpkins in a greased tray and let rise for 20 minutes. Brush them with an egg wash.
Bake at 180C (350F) for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Carefully cut the strings off to avoid tearing the buns.
