Giving Thanks

The time of the turkey has arrived yet again—you guessed it, Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving is a national holiday celebrated on the last Thursday of November by America and Canada. When thinking of this holiday, your mind undoubtedly goes to the mouthwatering meal that you enjoy with your family and closest friends. Traditionally, this meal will consist of a lovely roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie- plus any other delicious recipes brought to the table! But we can’t forget the most important part of Thanksgiving, giving thanks!

While we should be grateful every day for the plentiful blessings we have, Thanksgiving is that special day where the nation, as a whole, stops for a moment to be thankful for everything they hold dear. For example, I thank God for my family, my closest friends, the roof over my head, and for my personal faith.

Even if you don’t know every single detail about how Thanksgiving came to be, the important takeaway is that it is now a day of giving thanks and having fellowship with close friends and family.

So just take a moment and be thankful that you are even alive to learn about Thanksgiving! Whether they live down the street or thousands of miles away, make sure to tell those closest to you how grateful you are to have them in your life!

We have put together some table setting ideas to make your family thanksgiving dinner more special!

What are some things you are thankful for? We would love to read your thoughts & comments below!

Happy Thanksgiving!
