March 23rd: National Puppy Day

National Puppy Day, which celebrates our smaller canine friends, is held annually on the 23rd of March. First observed in 2006, this holiday is designed to not only cherish our puppies (and bigger puppies!) but also to raise awareness and promote adoption.

Founded by Colleen Paige, the mission of National Puppy Day is to raise public awareness for the number of dogs that need to be rescued yearly. From the very start, adoption awareness has been a huge aspect of this holiday. National Dog Day, another holiday founded by Colleen Paige, was able to bring this to a national level. These celebrations shine a light on puppies that go out of their way to comfort us, protect us, and even help us live and work safely. Both National Puppy Day and National Dog Day are great chances to adopt a dog of your own, since shelters tend to have the highest intake of dogs during the summertime. By encouraging and reminding people to adopt, donate, and love their animals more every year, these holidays help dogs in need of a home to find one.

There are many great ways to celebrate our pups, with activities ranging from spending time with them to pampering them with gifts! Take the time to show a little extra attention to all the wonderful pups in your life. Consider treating your pets with some of our new products, including our cotton rope leash, black leather collar, and chain leash. As seen in these items, we strive to provide you with merchandise that is held to a high standard of craftsmanship because of our commitment to quality.

We wish you and your pets a very happy puppy day!

Love,

 Marcel Ardani
